Is Stress Stopping your Success?
Stress - we all have it in varying degrees caused by different events. Job, Lifestyle, Family, Injuries can all lead to stress. But did you know that when your body is under stress, it affects your ability to see results from your training?
Exercise is also a stress on your body through exertion and muscle movement. So if your body is already under stress from outside areas, it will not be able to perform at its optimal level.
As a Women’s Health & Performance Coach, I work with my clients to identity external physiological stresses that are impacting their lifestyles. This is done using a Body IQ questionnaire which collects basic information to build a profile on the client’s lifestyle, including perceived levels of stress, sedentary habits, beliefs, and sleep patterns. The results of these questions allow me to see the areas that need to be addressed immediately to improve health as well as helping to achieve better results from training.
I work together with each client to develop action items to work on each week to improve any areas that fall into a red zone and changes can also be incorporated into their future programming.
